Zehnder Group UK takes on CIBSE patron status

Indoor climate solutions specialist, Zehnder Group UK, has become a patron of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

The patrons are the corporate supporters of the organisation, who work together to lend technical and financial support to a wide range of initiatives led by the Institute, giving CIBSE members access to their knowledge and expertise.

As a major supplier to several of the UK’s biggest developers and construction firms, Zehnder works closely with building services engineers, M&E consultants and mechanical engineers. A long-registered CIBSE CPD provider, Zehnder provides expert technical advice for engineers in both the residential and commercial sectors, on topics ranging from MVHR, overheating in homes, to radiant heating and cooling.

As a patron, Zehnder will be in a position to advise and educate members and young engineers, and also share views and ideas with other patrons regarding the future development of the building services industry. The company will specifically look to share views and expertise around the integration of heating, cooling and ventilation solutions in line with air quality, health and comfort, as well as energy performance.

Nigel Coston, technical director at Zehnder Group UK, commented: “CIBSE is very well respected throughout the building services industry for the calibre of advice and information it provides, and the wide range of issues and topics it gives its members access to.

“Becoming a patron was an easy decision for us: it gives us the chance to educate and inform others, whilst staying close to cutting-edge trends in our industry. We are excited about what we can contribute to the network, especially with some of the growing topics such as air quality and noise and also the valuable lessons we will undoubtedly learn from our fellow patrons and from CIBSE’s members.”
