Building services consultancy firm Henderson Green has promoted one of its founders to take on the job of managing director.
Russell Pitman was promoted from the post of director to takeover Richard Spinney's role which he has held for the last four years.
Spinney is now chairman of the Southampton-based firm and as part of the handover period, he will work with Pitman until May 2010.
The firm was founded in 1999 by a team of seven including Russell Pitman.
'I am extremely excited and optimistic about what the future holds and look forward to seeing the business continue to grow over the next five to 10 years', said Russell Pitman.
Both Pitman and Spinney are mechanical engineers with a background in the healthcare sector.
Richard Spinney said 'I can think of no better person to take over as MD. Russell will do an exceptional job and he has shown complete commitment to the firm over the last decade. I am looking forward to my new role as chairman before embarking upon pastures new'.
Henderson Green employs a team of more than 30 people, also has an office in Jersey and celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2009.
