Wolseley announces strategic supply chain investment to accelerate renewables transition

Wolseley Group has announced a significant strategic investment in its supply chain, aimed at enhancing its ability to meet rising demand for low carbon heating solutions and providing proactive support to customers navigating the energy transition.

Wolseley Group has announced a significant strategic investment in its supply chain, aimed at enhancing its ability to meet rising demand for low carbon heating solutions and providing proactive support to customers navigating the energy transition.

Central to the investment programme is the transformation of its Measham Distribution Centre into a dedicated fulfilment centre. The change will enable the business to scale its capability to safely and efficiently deliver larger and more complex products, such as air source heat pumps, and offering customers a consistent and responsive delivery experience.

The new service will support customers in adopting low-carbon technologies with greater confidence and reliability as well as providing market-leading order fulfilment to new build and large private-and-domestic customers.

The announcement follows the launch of Wolseley’s Renewables Centre - a dedicated brand designed to help installers succeed in the low-carbon economy – that launched earlier this year. With services including accredited training, MCS umbrella support, and technical design expertise, Renewables Centre is already playing a key role in supporting the industry’s transition. The new fulfilment model builds on this momentum, ensuring Wolseley can deliver not just the right products, but the right support, at scale.

John Hancock, chief operating officer at Wolseley, said: “This is a bold and forward-looking investment that positions Wolseley at the heart of the UK’s renewables transition. We’re not just evolving our infrastructure - we’re evolving how we support our customers. The new fulfilment model will ensure we can deliver the right products, at the right time, with the expertise and reliability our customers expect.”
