Wavin appoints new territory director

Plastic piping systems manufacturer, Wavin, has appointed Mike Ward as its new territory director for the UK and Ireland.

Responsible for all Wavin’s businesses in the UK and Ireland and leading the commercial pperations, Mr Ward is focused on adding value for Wavin’s customers and end users, as well as overseeing the next phase of the company’s growth and development of its leading brands, Osma and Hep2O. 

Mr Ward brings strong commercial and strategic leadership experience from various leading B2B businesses and companies. Prior to joining Wavin, he served as managing director, UK and Ireland for Metsä Wood UK, a leading manufacturer of specialist building products and engineered wood solutions. In this role, he led all business activities across the region, including UK-based support functions and manufacturing operations.

Prior to Metsä Wood, Mr Ward was managing director of Jeld-Wen UK for 10 years, providing commercial and manufacturing direction to support and drive top-line growth. Previously, he was UK finance director for Jeld-Wen, Abbseal and Bond International. 

In addition to his wealth of experience, Mr Ward brings a focus on customer service, innovation and safety. As part of his role, he will review and drive further improvement in these areas.
