Waterloo named as finalist in Manufacturer of the Year

Aylesford air terminal device manufacturer Waterloo Air Products has been named as a finalist for Manufacturer of the Year in the Kent Invicta Chamber Business Awards 2018.

Managing Director at Waterloo John Tiernan said: “This is great news. As a manufacturer this is the top award for us. We believe in putting customers at the heart of our business, and it’s worked. We had a record year in 2017.

“Contractors are under pressure to deliver building projects on time. Because of the nature of our products, customers’ expectations are that they will arrive on time, in full, every time. A 100 percent track record is what’s needed. We manufacture specials as standard, and that means for customers we create bespoke designs for their project. Some of the larger buildings can have hundreds or even thousands of products, so pulling everything together is complex. It’s a testament to our whole team and that’s why being recognised for this award is so rewarding.”

The awards ceremony is being held on March 22 at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge.
