Heating systems manufacturer Viessmann claims to have improved customer response times and extended cut off times by opening a new warehouse in the Midlands. Its logistic operation can now process orders up to 4pm for next day delivery.
Based at Fradley Park, Lichfield, and operated by strategic logistics partner Hellmann, the new premises are said to streamline the storage and transfer of products from their arrival at the warehouse through to dispatch. The company's domestic boiler range including the recently launched Vitodens 100-W range and accessories will be held at the warehouse, with further parts transferring to the facility within 18 months.
Viessmann md Graham Russell said: 'The warehouse's management system and radio frequency (RF) scanning allows a far greater control of stock, saving valuable staff time and improving the accuracy of the service we deliver.'
Viessmann's existing warehouse in Telford will continue for the moment to store the manufacturer's commercial boilers, solar products and spare parts.
