Vaillant commended for health and safety

Vaillant Industrial has been awarded the RoSPA Gold Award for the third year running in recognition of its commitments to ensuring world-class health and safety practices at its manufacturing plant in Belper, Derbyshire.

The RoSPA Gold Award recognises achievements in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.

Joe Dunn - director, plant, at Vaillant Industrial UK, commented: “At Vaillant Industrial we pride ourselves in our manufacturing excellence and on the health, safety and welfare of our staff. We are committed to providing outstanding working conditions in our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and are extremely proud to have received this Gold award from RoSPA for three consecutive years.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”

Vaillant Industrial UK manufactures over 300,000 ecoTEC domestic boilers at its site in Belper, including the award winning ecoTEC exclusive with Green iQ. The plant also manufactures the ecoTEC Commercial Systems 46 and 64kW boilers and all Glow-worm boiler models.
