Uponor steps up training focus

Uponor has stepped up its investment in installers with the introduction of a plumbing showroom, the launch of a new training complex in Belfast and the supply of materials to two regional education facilities.
Uponor steps up training focus
Offering bespoke plumbing and underfloor heating courses, the original Uponor Training Academy which opened six years ago in Lutterworth, welcomes more than 300 delegates a year providing customers with theoretical and practical knowledge of underfloor heating systems and plumbing solutions.

In addition to the improvements at the Lutterworth Training Academy, Uponor has also launched a Belfast Training Centre.

Two UK regional training facilities have also benefited from Uponor support. Bristol's Filton College and Sevenoaks Energy Academy in Kent have been kitted out with Uponor's family of plumbing and climate control solutions.

Filton College now offers a selection of Uponor products including plumbing fittings, multi layer composite pipe (MLCP) and PEX, as well as underfloor heating installations.

The suite at the college will serve to host Uponor-led customer training sessions as well as being open to the college students themselves.

Sevenoaks Energy Academy, a specialist training centre delivering courses within various areas of the energy sector, also features plumbing and underfloor heating solutions from Uponor, but also houses a specific heat pump and climate control installation.
