UK-GBC urges members to write to George Osborne

UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC) is encouraging its members to write a letter to George Osborne to demonstrate the level of industry support for the green agenda.
On 11 February at its annual House of Commons Reception, Andrew Stunell MP and Joan Walley MP called on as many businesses as possible to write to the Chancellor to show their support for green policies. UK-GBC is asking its members to take up this call and lobby the Government for policies to encourage sustainable growth.

UK-GBC recently coordinated its own letter to the Chancellor from a group of industry bodies outlining five key demands: Long term incentives for the Green Deal; ringfenced spending for public sector retrofit programmes; commitment to zero-carbon homes and non-domestic buildings; a roll-out of Display Energy Certificates; and long-term investment in low carbon energy infrastructure.
