Two new CPDs and graduate training from Spirotech

Spirotech, the HVAC system protection and water conditioning specialist, has developed two new CPD presentations for consultants and design engineers, as well as extending its popular training programme to include graduates.

The two new CPDs cover ‘Deaeration and Dirt Separation Techniques’ and ‘Understanding Pressurisation Design, Installation and Implementation’.

Rob Jacques, national key accounts and technical sales manager for Spirotech, said: “Water is the cheapest commodity in any system but when allowed to deteriorate it will have the greatest impact on efficiency and cost.

“The CPDs explain the basics of how mistakes at the design stage can be avoided and outline measures consultants and designers can take when specifying a system that will maximise performance, while reducing maintenance and energy consumption.

“Ultimately, a correctly set up system will be more effective, have a longer life and a higher lifetime value for the customer.”

Those consultants or system designers who would like to book a free CPD session should email: office_uk@spirotech.com

Following Spirotech’s inclusion of graduates in its training programme, among the latest to be given an insight into the benefits of deaeration and dirt separation were a group of post-graduates from Vital Energi.

Over the past three years the fluid conditioning specialist’s in-house training sessions have become a favourite with heating engineers, and those newly-recruited to the industry from university are now being given the opportunity to learn more about the problems caused by air in a system and how to overcome them.

Mr Jacques said: “Our objective is to give the graduates a deeper understanding of pressurisation and energy efficiency, including an introduction to Henry’s law.

“The sessions are in small groups, which makes them more accessible, and are a mix of theory and practical, with a demonstration model used to show how air and dirt can, with the right products, be quickly and easily removed.”

Students taking part range from mechanical to design engineers and are from leading energy management companies.

Adam Bhaiji, graduate design engineer with Vital Energi, said: “The training day at Spirotech was extremely informative and useful, especially the demonstrations that allowed a better understanding of the equipment we, at Vital Energi, use from Spirotech.”
