Travis Perkins revenue rises

Turnover at builders' merchant Travis Perkins was up 6 per cent for the first nine months of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009.
The company said: 'We continue to gain like-for-like market share in both our merchanting and retail divisions.'
Turnover in the company's merchanting division rose by 7.8 per cent with like-for-like turnover per trading day up by 7.1 per cent. Like-for-like turnover per trading day for the third quarter increased by 10.3 per cent.
The company added: 'With our continuing focus on cash generation, underlying net debt has reduced in the third quarter from the £410m reported at June 30, 2010. There has been no material change to the financial condition of the business.'
