Trane and Dallah agree joint manufacturing venture

Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, has agreed a joint venture manufacturing deal with Dallah Trading Company, a member of Dallah Al-Baraka Holding Company (DBHC), a private multi-national corporation based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The agreement includes the development of a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) to serve heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) customers in Middle East and Africa markets with design custom and catalog air-handling units and fan coils.

Executives from Trane and Dallah met yesterday (15 March) at The Address Dubai Mall in Dubai for a signing ceremony to celebrate the agreement.

Johan Samuelsson, vice president and general manager of Trane in the Middle East and Africa, said: “Our expanded relationship with Dallah will bring us closer to our customers, which increases our responsiveness, speed-to-market and competitiveness. We expect the facility to be completed in late 2017 and are excited about the opportunities it brings for the future.”

Ayman M Kamel, chairman of Dallah Trading Company, said: “We are pleased to establish a manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with our long term partner, Trane. Our customers will appreciate the benefit from Trane quality products made in region. This is one step closer towards our goal of making Dallah Trading the first choice distributor for HVAC solutions in K.S.A.”

Trane products that will be manufactured in the new facility will help communities in the Middle East and Africa to improve the indoor environment by making it more comfortable, quiet and reliable for people who occupy commercial buildings, homes, hotels, industrial buildings and hospitals.
