Sale Sharks is one of the leading professional Rugby Union clubs in Europe, finishing third in last season’s Gallagher Premiership and reaching the semi-final of Europe’s Heineken Cup. As a club sponsor, the Toshiba logo will be displayed across the AJ Bell Stadium giant display screen located in Salford, Greater Manchester, during home matches.
“Toshiba has a long history of supporting rugby as an official sponsor of three previous Rugby World Cups, and as a sponsor of the Japanese national team,” said David Dunn, managing director for New Equipment Sales, TCUK. “Sale Sharks are a good fit for us. The club, and the sport of rugby as a whole, are all about the power of teamwork and total dedication, which reflect our own company values.”
“Toshiba is one of the world’s great brands and we are thrilled to be working with them again this season as a key sponsor,” said Sid Sutton, Sale Sharks chief executive. “The big screen plays an important role in any rugby stadium, as it’s where every fan turns to at crucial moments in the game. Toshiba’s support has helped deliver the best possible enjoyment for our fans this season.”
