Now is the time to submit your entries for the 2017 HVR Awards, which will once again identify and reward outstanding technology, innovation and service in the way that companies and individuals within the HVAC operate, or in what they produce.

The HVR Trainee of the Year Award made its debut at the 2016 Awards, and the first ever recipient was EOGB's Reece Summerfield. Reflecting on his win, Reece said: 'To have won Trainee of the Year last year was a fantastic feeling of recognition for all the hard work and hours of learning.' He continued: 'This award has helped me gain more confidence as a combustion engineer, and it is something I will always be proud of throughout my career.'

The Trainee of the Year award is open to any trainee employed by a HVAC company, and aims to find the rising stars who stand out from the rest and consistently go the extra mile for the benefit of the team, their employer and their own personal development. If you believe that someone you know truly is a future star of the HVAC industry, then nominate them for this prestigious award now!

This year's Trainee of the Year award has received the backing of Brymec, a leading industry supplier to the UK's building services sector. With over 40 years of industry experience, Brymec's website offers over 14,000 carefully selected products which are delivered by their own fleet of vans and drivers, ensuring customers get the products they need when they need them.

Dale Gardiner, commercial director at Brymec, spoke of this year's sponsorship: 'Brymec is delighted to sponsor the HVR Trainee of the Year Award. In an industry that may not be seen as the most exciting career option to many young people, it is vital that we encourage, harness and support our trainees and apprentices. At Brymec, we firmly believe in supporting future generations that pursue careers in the HVAC industry, and we actively recruit, train and retain young talent by giving them the support and guidance they need throughout their career with us.'
