The Gas Safety Trust announces new chair
Mr Bielby has been a trustee at The Gas Safety Trust since its foundation in 2005, and has previously been director of integrity at British Gas and more recently group business integrity director at Connaught.

The Trust has also introduced a new role of deputy chair. This is to share the growing developmental work of the Trust. As the first appointee in this role, Helen Atkinson will provide marketing and strategic support. She was director of client services with CORGI where she worked for 12 years until 2007. She now works as an independent strategy and marketing consultant.

Professor Mary Benwell, who has been chair of the Trust for over three years, will remain a Trustee and has agreed to join the Trust's Grant Review Group and to also evaluate programmes funded by the charity.

The Gas Safety Trust now has a Trusteeship of eleven influential and professional individuals spanning a comprehensive range of sectors. The chair and deputy chair positions are both non-remunerated.
