Swegon combines air filtration brands

Swegon Air Management (SAM) is combining its two filtration brands, Trion and Envirco, to form a single air filtration business called Airfiltrera.

Trion provides electrostatic filters for commercial buildings including shopping centres, hotels, restaurants and manufacturing facilities.

Envirco designed and manufactured the world’s first commercial clean room more than half a century ago. It supplies fan filter units (FFU) for an increasingly diverse range of high tech clean rooms in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device, automotive, aerospace and optical industries.

Trion and Envirco products will be Airfiltrera’s lead ranges, but the company is also looking to use the new brand as a basis to extend its product offering in the future.

SAM’s managing director Kevin Munson said: “Trion and Envirco are a natural fit – a great marriage. Their acquisition by Swegon late last year has created an opportunity for the group to consolidate and extend its presence in the air filtration sector and look for opportunities to diversify.”
