Steven Booth takes helm at Guardian Water Treatment

Guardian Water Treatment has announced the appointment of Steven Booth as its managing director.

Steven Booth, new managing director at Guardian Water Treatment.

Mr Booth will report to Phil Greenwood, chief executive of WCS Group, which acquired Guardian Water Treatment in December of last year.

Having worked at Guardian Water Treatment for the past six years, Mr Booth is a trained water treatment chemist, with experience across a range of industry sectors, from facilities management to food and beverage. He has played a crucial part in the business's continuing aim to provide sustainable and highly effective water treatment solutions for customers across the UK,and especially within London's M25.

Mr Booth is also focused on closed systems and the partnership with Hevasure.

He said: “Guardian has gone from strength to strength and I am delighted to take the helm at what promises to be an exciting new chapter. Our acquisition by WCS Group and integration in to the Marlowe Critical Services Group provides welcome investment in people, systems and processes. We now have a far larger team and the scale and operational support to handle large customers with a national footprint. We have a wider offer too and can introduce customers to fire and security and air services.”

Customers will also benefit from enhanced healthcare and education expertise and a national engineering team focused on closed system operation, sustainability, waste and re-purposing/harvesting water as part of efficient, whole-of-life services across water and air hygiene sectors.

In addition to Mr Booth's promotion, the company has appointed Toby Hunt as key account director, while former chief executive, Mark Hobson, has moved into a non-executive role during the transition period.
