Specflue appoints training manager

Chimney and flue specialist Specflue has appointed Jed Smith as its new training manager. His appointment forms part of a wider objective by Specflue to look at areas of growth and skill sets within the solid fuel and renewable technology industries.

Mr Smith will help enhance Specflue's existing training centre - The National Chimney Academy - by working with Specflue's technical advisors and industry professionals to develop, deliver and manage a specialist training programme.

The training programme will offer a full suite of recognised qualifications and ensure that Specflue offers an end to end service for all solid fuel and renewable technology installers throughout the UK.

Mr Smith has 20 years of experience in the development, delivery and management of training courses both in the public and private sector. He has spent the last five years specialising in the training of renewa
