The data shows that while many companies are enhancing their emissions reporting capabilities, inconsistencies in methodologies, data availability, and varied reporting requirements continue to create challenges, especially for those with limited resources or operating within global supply chains. Additionally, the data confirms that addressing Scope 3 emissions and reporting remains a significant challenge due to gaps in available information. 

In response to these challenges, the snapshot calls on policymakers and businesses to collaborate in improving data consistency, reducing reporting burdens and supporting effective decision-making. Advocating for greater alignment in reporting frameworks and clearer policy guidance to empower businesses of all sizes to meet their evolving expectations.

Many organisations are focusing on enhancing data credibility through third-party verification and actively seeking external support, demonstrating a strengthened commitment to transparency and accountability in emissions reporting.
