Skerritt opens Birmingham base

M&E contractor Skerritt has unveiled new offices in the West Midlands.
The Birmingham office will coordinate Skerritt projects in the higher education, commercial and leisure sectors and adds to the family firm's network of offices in Nottingham and Cambridge.

Skerritt already draws many of its operatives from the West Midlands area including Stuart Hill, who took over as managing director last February.

Stuart Hill said: “Skerritt is typical of family-founded British companies. We believe in providing a service that you can rely on. That’s what makes me proud to bring Skerritt to my home town.

'It means good quality, long-term jobs for people who want to come and work with us and that will contribute to Birmingham’s prosperity.”

Skerritt employs nearly 300 people and is recruiting for managerial, engineering and administrative staff for the West Midlands base.
