SIG expands with acquisition of SK Sales

SIG has acquired SK Sales, the UK air handling products specialist based in Norwich, for an undisclosed sum.
According to SIG, SK Sales complements and expands on its strategy to offer a wider network, product offering and area of expertise for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning market.

As a combined business under the SK Sales brand, SIG customers will now benefit from a one-stop-shop experience with access to an increased range of products. SIG partners will also gain from new revenue opportunities.

Managing director of SIG Distribution, Paul Gordon, said: 'SK Sales is an exciting business and provides us with a platform for further branch expansion.'

He added: 'SIG has a major presence in mainland Europe in the air management category and this acquisition strengthens our overall market position.'

Joint managing directors of SK Sales, Alan Taylor and Jason Kemp, will continue to lead SK Sales as part of SIG.

The acquisition will result in the rebranding of existing Air Trade Centre branches in the coming months, which, once rolled out will expand SK Sales' branch network to 22 sites throughout the UK. SK Sales will also be able to offer SIG's own brand products to its national customer base.
