SenerTec has been raising awareness of the benefits of combined heat and power (CHP), by supporting a sustainable energy showcase in Solihull attended by the Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change, the Rt Hon Edward Davey MP.
Jeff House, regulatory marketing manager at Baxi UK (pictured), joined the Secretary of State, Solihull MP Lorely Burt and fellow businesses at an event hosted by the Sustainable Energy Association in Solihull on Wednesday 18 March.
Hosted in partnership with lobbying consultancy Ecuity LLP, the event focused on exemplary projects using low carbon sustainable technology in the local area. Jeff House discussed an initiative that saw a Solihull Council Depot install a highly efficient Dachs Mini CHP unit, supplied by SenerTec.
Jeff comments: “Energy efficiency in buildings and demand side energy use reduction are of critical importance; we’re delighted to have been able to support the Sustainable Energy Association, which develops and promotes policy for sustainable energy in buildings.
“As a business with offices in both Erdington and Warwick, it’s great to see that there are so many Midland businesses at the forefront of delivering sustainable energy. To have the opportunity to share this with the Secretary of State and to engage on important issues surrounding the future of how we power the business world has been a great experience.”
