SBS and PPL Training link up to offer Green Deal courses

Sustainable Business Solutions (SBS), part of the Travis Perkins Group, and PPL Training, have announced that the first set of City & Guilds accredited courses in Green Deal Domestic Energy Assessing (Advice) are now available.
The courses are for domestic energy assessors, plumbers, electricians and heating engineers who currently undertake domestic energy assessing activities.

In April this year Travis Perkins announced a strategic partnership with Toriga Energy and says it is 'delighted' to extend its current relationship with PPL Training to cover Green Deal training provision.

The announcement follows months of training course development work between City & Guilds and Asset Skills, the employer-led skills body for Facilities Management. An initial competency framework was released last week, based on the Department of Energy & Climate Change's (DECC) requirements.
