Samsung picks HRP for ac wholesale boost

Samsung has stepped up its drive to capture more of the UK air conditioning market by appointing nationwide wholesaler HRP as a distributor.
The alliance, effective from July 1, makes Samsung's DVM Plus III (VRF) range available nationally through a new specialist HRP subsidiary, Samsung Air Conditioning Centre (SACC).

Samsung split systems will be available through HRP's extensive branch network. Samsung recently launched DVM Plus III in the UK and appointed three specialist distribution partners.

Jonathan Pettitt, Samsung national sales manager, said 'The UK is an important market for air conditioning and the alliance with HRP will significantly extend our reach with the full range of DVM Plus III and split systems.'

'HRP will give us national capability to deal with immediate volume growth, while SACC will get us closer to specifiers through a team of people who are trained and dedicated to the Samsung brand,' added Samsung distribution sales manager Paul Wilkins.

Mandy Pilgrim, HRP group managing director said: 'It will give specifiers the advantage of dealing with 'manufacturer's representatives', while installers will enjoy the convenience of purchasing through a major wholesaler with a widespread branch network.'

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
