Samsung Climate Solutions launches latest heating and cooling solution, HVM R32

Samsung Climate Solutions has announced the launch of its new heating and cooling solution for smaller commercial refurbishments, the HVM R32.

Samsung’s latest modular chiller uses R32 refrigerant with a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP)1, which, combined with the HVM’s water-based system that eliminates the need for refrigerant inside a building, creates a safer and lower carbon environment inside the building.

Designed with consultants in mind, the HVM R32 is a compact, easy-to-install unit which offers reliable, consistent performance. The integration of flash injection technology enables effective heating in outdoor temperatures as low as -25°C, making it an ideal solution for colder climates.

The HVM R32 features a small footprint of 1.38m² and is relatively lightweight (433kg/955 lbs), making it easy to transport on a one-ton truck, move using a handle forklift and lift into a cargo elevator before being installed in small spaces or on rooftops. Its compact nature is designed to help consultants and installers overcome challenges associated with smaller roof tops and plant room footprints, offering greater design flexibility.

The system can control one or more outdoor units to provide cooling and heating across different zones in smaller commercial environments. It can also be seamlessly connected to a wide range of indoor Samsung units including the WindFree™ 4-Way Cassette, 360 Cassette and Concealed options to offer a fully integrated system.

Klaudia Szweda-Adelaja, air conditioning product manager at Samsung Climate Solutions, commented: “When it comes to smaller commercial projects, specifiers and installers’ face a variety of challenges – including space constraints, tighter project timelines and changing regulations. In line with evolving F Gas regulations, specifying units like the HVM R32 can help to support long-term planning. Whilst today’s commercial spaces face a variety of obstacles, it’s key that the needs of occupants and end-users are central to refurbishment projects. We’re looking forward to working with our customers to deliver modular systems which can meet the evolving needs of modern commercial environments.”
