Safegas staff become CIPHE members

Staff from SAFEGAS, which services more than 10,000 Yorkshire households with heating and hot water breakdown cover, are to be enrolled as CIPHE members.
Martin Cooper, managing director of SAFEGAS agreed to the move, welcomed by CIPHE (the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering), at the opening of SAFEGAS's new head office and call centre in Leeds.

“I’m delighted that yet another organisation has backed our campaign,” said Blane Judd, chief executive of

Judd added “By working together we can make a difference and raise standards in the plumbing and heating industry. The more people who register with the Institute the harder it will be for non-professionally qualified people to operate in the marketplace and put the safety and health of the public and the environment at risk'.
