S&P sponsors cycle racer

S&P Coil Products (SPC), the Leicester-based heat pump and radiant panel specialist, has sponsored one of the country's top junior riders throughout his 2010 season in the highly competitive sport of Downhill cycle racing.

Rider Sam Wakefield, 17 has had an excellent riding season and, despite a serious mid-season injury, has triumphed taking the Southern Downhill Championship crown at Aston Hill near Wendover and the Pearce Cycles Downhill Series race and Bucknell Forest near Ludlow. He also came second in the final British Downhill Series race at Caersws in Wales.
His father Robin Wakefield, National Specialist Product Manager for SPC said: 'We are very proud of sam's ongoing success. The sport is incredibly rigorous and takes a lot of hard work, dedication and courage. He has aspirations of representing the UK in international races and we are wholeheartedly behind him in his ambitions.'
