Members of the public are said to be showing increasing awareness of the integrity and capability of plumbing and heating professionals registered with the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
In a recent CIPHE survey, more than 90 per cent of respondents agreed that they would expect work to be done properly the first time by installers on the CIPHE Registers.
Over 80 per cent felt that CIPHE registration guaranteed quality workmanship. Around 63 per cent would also check that their plumber or heating engineer were still CIPHE Registered by using the number on their identity card. Just over 79 per cent of people who took the survey said they would always look for a plumbing or heating professional when having work done.
