Powerminster administers emergency repairs for Yorkshire tenants

Sheffield-based Powerminster Gleeson Services has been chosen to provide an emergency repairs service to tenants in 880 properties across South Yorkshire.
Housing association Arches Housing has given the firm a four year contract to provide general building maintenance, plumbing, heating and electrical repairs.

A spokesman for Arches Housing said: 'Powerminster demonstrated that as a local company it had the relevant experience and understanding of working with different cultures on other contracts, which was a major factor in it being chosen.'

John Hargreaves, operations director for Powerminster Gleeson Services, said: 'We are keen to increase our operations in the Sheffield area as this is where our head office and many of our engineers are based.'
