Police in hot pursuit of boilernappers

Thieves stole £80,000 worth of boilers from the back of a lorry during a late night raid in Milton Keynes.
The boilernappers slashed the sides of the HGV, before offloading 177 combi boilers, each weighing more than 50kg.

The gang of thieves had a lorry and a car to help them getaway with their heavy haul.

Police believe the boiler heist was conducted by a well-organised team of people who would have worked up quite a sweat trying to move the boilers from the HGV to the thieves' lorry.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have been offered a boiler at a discounted rate. The police appeal made this week, follows the late night raid which took place sometime between midnight and 4.30am on October 9.
