Police hunt for Wolseley's boiler burglars

Thieves made off with six boilers in a night-time raid on a Wolseley distribution center- the second heist carried out at the site that week.
Police are in hot pursuit to find the missing boilers, worth more than £4,000, which were stolen from the building supplier's Henfield premises sometime between 6pm on July 28 and 8am on July 29.

Earlier that week, Wolseley staff discovered copper and lead had been stolen from the site.

Police believe the two incidents are linked. No one was hurt during the thefts.

A Wolseley spokesperson said: “The boilers were in transhipment within the distribution network and were stolen from a vehicle, still in their transport packaging on pallets. We are cooperating fully with the police in their investigation into the incident.”
