The search is on for the UK's bright young plumbing talent to compete in SkillPLUMB 2008.
Do you know someone with the plumbing promise to enter SkillPLUMB 2008, the winner of which gets the chance to compete in the Olympics for the plumbing world - WorldSkills 2009.
To be eligible to compete, plumbers must be no older than 23 at the time of the WorldSkills final in 2009.
SkillPLUMB is a chance for individuals to demonstrate plumbing prowess and give kudos to the college and company linked to the talented plumber.
SkillPLUMB will run competitions across the nation with competitors assessed on a series of practical tests.
The UK competition, organised by SummitSkills, the sector skills council for building services engineering, takes over from BPEC's Plumbing Skills Competition, which has been running for more than 20 years.
The competition is part of Skill M&E - three skills competitions that seek the best mechanical and electrical engineers in the building services engineering sector. Skill M&E also includes SkillELECTRIC and SkillFRIDGE.
Nomination forms must be submitted by February 29, 2008.
The pack includes a talent spotting check-list, an in-house skills competition task, a marking schedule and an entry form.
