Pipe Centre has appointed Andy Lenton as business development director. Andy brings over 35 years of industry experience and a strong track record in business development and sales leadership, making him ideally placed to support Pipe Centre’s growth strategy.

Andy Lenton, Pipe Centre's new business development director

Andy began his career at 18 on a trade counter, quickly recognising the potential of a career in the sector. Over the years, he has progressed through branch management roles and served as industrial sales director, managing both industrial and building services accounts.

In his new role, Andy will oversee the key account team, industrial team, and develop strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His focus will be on driving safe, profitable growth, building a high-performance sales culture, and promoting Pipe Centre’s own Jet brand product range - strengthening partnerships and delivering smarter solutions for customers.

Andy said: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge of this role and applying my experience to help the business grow. The first thing that struck me was how organised the business is and the high level of communication. My induction was seamless - the best I’ve experienced in the industry.

“Having only been with the company a short time, it’s already became clear that one of Pipe Centre’s biggest assets is its people. With so many knowledgeable and dedicated individuals pulling in the same direction, I’m excited to capitalise on the opportunities ahead and see what we can achieve together.”

Pete Grierson, managing director at Pipe Centre, added: “Andy’s appointment is a key step in delivering our growth strategy. His industry expertise and leadership will help us strengthen customer partnerships, drive profitable growth, and continue investing in our people, branches, and services. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

This appointment reinforces Pipe Centre’s commitment to supporting customers, driving innovation, and delivering consistent, customer-focused service across its branch network.
