Andy Wighton has been appointed Managing Director of Pipe Center and Climate Center, it has been announced.

Andy is currently Wolseley Group Commercial Director and brings extensive experience of working with Wolseley Group companies to his new position. Prior to that, Andy was Chief Operating Officer at Wolseley Canada, a $1.4bn turnover company.

He joins the business on 19 January 2015, enabling a handover period with Lee Jon Newman, who is leaving Wolseley UK at the end of February to take up a Chief Operating Officer role in a different sector.

Andy first joined Wolseley in 2003 and during his time with Wolseley UK was a member of the Plumbing and Heating businesses leadership team in his role as Finance Director.

Commenting on his appointment, Andy said: “I’m delighted to be returning to Wolseley UK and am looking forward to progressing Pipe and Climate’s strategy. Our aim is to be the best business in the market and the distributor of choice by FY18– and I will ensure Pipe and Climate Center continues on its growth trajectory.”
