Pete McGrath re-joins Albion Valves

Pete McGrath has returned to Albion Valves (UK) in the newly created position of national contracts manager.

Pete McGrath.

Mr McGrath originally enjoyed a successful period with Albion as a regional sales manager, before leaving to work on the merchant side of the commercial valves business with Western Automation.

His new role sees him take national responsibility for encouraging main contractors and consultants to work with Albion on major contracts, offering assistance on projects from start to completion and supported by Albion’s network of independent distributors.

Although it’s early days, it seems that this new appointment is already helping Albion to extend its reach across the country.

Mr McGrath said: “As it’s a new role the job may evolve but the biggest challenge initially will be time management as I am looking after the whole of the UK. However, this bigger scope offers even bigger potential – something I am keen to maximise.”

With almost 30 years’ industry experience, Mr McGrath has extensive product knowledge and good technical know-how but, most of all, it’s his understanding of what distributors, contractors and OEMs need that sets him apart.

He added: “I really enjoyed working for Albion the first time around and the prospect of coming back to take on this new role and making it my own really excited me. I was really looking forward to coming back and first impressions are that not much has changed. There may be more staff, but it still has the same family feel it had before and it’s noticeable how everyone cares about their job and respects others - no matter what their job or position in the company.”
