Partnership offers reduced rate HVAC training

Daikin, a specialist in the heating, cooling, and ventilation industry, has teamed up with HSS Training to offer skills training, including F-Gas training, at a reduced rate.

As the sector for sustainable HVAC systems, both in residential and commercial, continues to evolve and grow, the requirement for qualified F-Gas engineers is increasing. With this in mind, Daikin wishes to support the industry by providing easier and more affordable access to vital training. As such, this new partnership with HSS Training enables a reduced rate for F-Gas Cat 1 (5 day) training at a cost of just £836 + VAT, which is much lower than the typical cost of £1200-£1600 + VAT.

HSS Training is the specialist training division of the UK's original tool and equipment hire company, HSS ProService Group. They offer over 300 industry-recognised training courses, professionally delivered via 80 qualified trainers to individuals and organisations throughout the UK and Ireland at over 60 fully equipped centres.

A wide range of professional skills training is available from HSS, including First Aid at Work, Work at Height including IPAF certifications. All these courses are available at a special lower rate for Daikin installers and engineers. Plus, new and existing customers can use their Daikin Business Development Fund to pay for training and save even more.

Martin Passingham, Department Manager Product and Training from Daikin said: “At Daikin, we’re always looking for ways we can support our customers and the wider industry. This relationship with HSS allows us to provide a much more cost-effective means of recruiting more F-Gas registered engineers to help the transition to more sustainable heating systems. Additionally, customers can take advantage of reduced training costs on a wide range of other courses through HSS, making their businesses more versatile and valuable.

We also hold ourselves as a responsible refrigeration advocate, which means the promotion of good practice and safe working. By ensuring vital skills training is viable and available to more people, the quality of work should in turn increase.”

Andrew Smith, Commercial Director at HSS Training, said: “HSS have formed a close working relationship with Daikin, across both Hire and Training. Daikin are known as market leaders of climate control solutions with a sharp eye on safety and we feel this echoes our ethos of trying to cultivate a safety culture across all industries, we are now pleased to be able to extend this offering to their wider customer base.

One of the key differentials that attracted Daikin was a network of dedicated F-Gas centres and mobile units, fundamental training within this industry. It didn’t require much of a leap of imagination to see that this may also be of benefit to their client base. To compliment the suite of industry specific courses, HSS offer an additional 300 course titles that provide a perfect one-stop solution to their client’s wider installation and general safety needs.

We look forward to continuing our valuable work with Daikin and widening our relationship to include their customers, with the view towards a total safety culture within the heating, cooling, and ventilation industry.
