Daikin, specialist in climate control systems, has appointed SK Sales as a new mass distribution channel (MDC) partner in the UK, with the wholesaler now an official stockist of Daikin’s solutions for the air conditioning sector.

At a time when air quality and ventilation is at the forefront of building design, the new partnership will provide installers and building service engineers with extended access to Daikin’s range of air conditioning and ventilation products.

A ventilation, fan and air handling wholesaler, SK Sales – part of the Airvance Group – has over 25 years’ experience in the UK HVAC sector. This new partnership signals SK Sales’ recent expansion into the air conditioning market, led by newly appointed head of air conditioning, Richard Sked. As an official MDC partner of Daikin, SK Sales will stock Daikin’s range of Sky Air and split air conditioning systems throughout its nine UK wholesale outlets.

Speaking about the partnership, Nick Dray, mass distribution channel manager at Daikin, said: “We’re delighted to have SK Sales on board as one of our new MDC partners. At Daikin, the opportunity to take on a new partner who shares our vision of creating better and healthier internal environments was one we could not ignore. With its strong customer focus and the team’s extensive knowledge and experience, SK Sales is a perfect fit and we look forward to working with them.”

Richard Ward, managing director at SK Sales, added: “We’re extremely excited that SK Sales has been appointed as a Daikin Air Conditioning UK MDC partner. This is a really great moment, both for SK Sales and also our customers, with Daikin renowned throughout the industry for long-life product quality, technical leadership and overall reliability.

“Supported by the appointment of Richard Sked as our new head of conditioning, our recent expansion into air conditioning means we can now offer an even greater service and, with the help of Daikin, continue to supply high-quality products, technical advice and support to the industry.”
