Panasonic appoints new technical specialist

Panasonic continues to expand its heating and cooling business in the UK with the appointment of former Oceanair Distribution director David Livingstone as technical specialist.
Panasonic appoints new technical specialist
Having spent 10 years with Oceanair Distribution, Mr Livingstone has a broad knowledge of heating and cooling products, and has significant experience in the full design and technical support service, including CAD drawings, heat load calculations and even commissioning service. He joins as one of a number of new recruits in the field, with Panasonic Home Appliances Air Conditioning Europe (PHAAE) increasing from three employees to nine.

Announcing this appointment, Marc Diaz at Panasonic confirmed that his appointment was one of a number of new appointments coming on stream this summer: 'David's appointment is part of our expansion programme at Bracknell. We are investing significantly in our people as well as facilities here and we will soon be opening our fully functioning Training Centre.'

According to PHAAE managing director, Enrique Vilamitjana, the company is clearly focused on the UK market. Speaking at an international event earlier this year, Mr Vilamitjana said: 'We have moved from an air conditioning manufacturer to an emphasis on both heating and cooling systems. We will be adding resources to our service, engineering and sales operations across five main countries, with the addition of 43 new people.'
