OFTEC fired up about director's appointment

OFTEC, the Oil Firing Technical Association, has appointed Jacqueline Smith to take up the post of Registration Services director.

Her appointment comes at a time where microgeneration and renewable energies are key growth areas influencing OFTEC's development.

Jacqueline Smith said: 'There are many exciting opportunities in the heating market at the moment and I am looking forward to making sure that OFTEC is ready for the challenges ahead.'

The former business development manager for NICEIC originally trained as an electrical engineer and has previously worked for ASTA Certification Services. Jacqueline Smith is also an associate member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
