New managing director at Altecnic

Plumbing equipment manufacturer Altecnic has appointed Alan Sherwin as its new managing director following the retirement of firm's founders from the board in March.
Established in 1988, Altecnic supplies plumbing equipment through UK plumbers and builders merchants. Sherwin joined Altecnic in 2000 as finance director and helped raise the six million investment to fund the company's move to new premises in 2009.

'This is an exciting time to take the helm at Altecnic we've weathered the economic downturn incredibly well,' said Alan Sherwin. He added: 'Whereas much of the construction industry experienced stagnation, we have actually bucked the trend and experienced growth throughout the recession'.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
