Panasonic has announced the appointment of Marc Overson to Panasonic Heating & Cooling, who joins the team as country manager for the UK & Ireland.

Marc joins Panasonic from the European air conditioning division of Samsung Electronics, where undertaking the role of the European B2B & Distribution Sales Manager, he gained a broad understanding of the European heating and air conditioning market.

“Joining Panasonic’s heating and cooling operation at an exciting period in the company’s history is a wonderful opportunity”, Marc commented. “Working for an established electronics company that manufactures a broad range of innovative products, has the potential to offer cross product solutions and has a reputation for delivering reliable HVAC products is not something that is commonplace in the market. This potential, combined with the strong foundations that our fantastic team and established distribution channels provide, ensures that Panasonic can deliver a bespoke range of professional solutions into a highly competitive and evolving market.”

Marc succeeds in this position from Marc Diaz, who returns to the Panasonic operation in Spain. Marc will focus on building market share within the commercial air conditioning arena, a key growth target area for the company in the UK & Ireland. The reinforcement and development of Panasonic’s sales distribution network and support services are of primary importance. Initial activities will include the introduction of a new regional technical support service, the enhancement of core training activities, the delivery of market leading energy efficient products and the expansion of pre-sales specification activities with key consultants, contractors and end users.
