New appointments at Balfour Kilpatrick

M&E firm Balfour Kilpatrick has strengthened its health, safety and environment team with two promotions
Craig Hutchison has been promoted to company health and safety manager, with responsibility for implementing the company’s Zero Harm strategy.

Craig first joined the company in 1991 as an apprentice and transferring to the safety team in 2005.

Sharon Young has been promoted to company environmental manager, with responsibility for Balfour Kilpatrick’s SEE the future corporate responsibility strategy and environmental management system.

Sharon joined the company as a graduate trainee in 2003. Both Craig and Sharon will report to Karen Murdoch, SHEQ director.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
