New appointment at Sensing Precision

Sensing Precision has appointed Alan Hinton as its new technical sales consultant.

New technical sales consultant at Sensing Precision, Alan Hinton

Alan joins from Johnson Controls, where he was product and marketing manager, airside products. He has over 30 years’ experience in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry including 16 years at Johnson and time at York International (before it was taken over by Johnson) and Weatherite Group before that.

Andrew Hamshere, Sensing Precision’s managing director, said: “Alan joins the team at a time of significant growth. Global warming and the impact the buildings on the environment is leading to greater demand for more accurate air flow measurement in buildings.

“We are happy to welcome Alan and look forward to his contribution to our further growth.”

Alan will provide clients with sales advice, system design support and CPD education and implement a strategic business plan that will expand the company's customer base to ensure it maintains a strong presence, especially in the HVAC sector.

In his spare time, Alan enjoys most sports, especially rugby. He captained the Oxford Harlequins Veterans team prior to his retirement from the game in 2016.
