New appointee in step with ESBE values

Hydronics manufacturer, ESBE UK can definitely be judged to have appointed the right person to help promote the company’s diverse capabilities, as well as its product quality, with new business administrator Molly Laight having just completed a B TEC level 3 diploma at Burnley College.

ESBE UK's business administrator Molly Laight

Having joined the steadily expanding team at ESBE’s new Rossendale premises in June, her responsibilities have included invoicing as well as liaising with customers and the parent company’s headquarters staff in Sweden. Meanwhile she is also continuing with vocational training, supported by ESBE.

Managing director, Darren Myers commented: “We had been looking for a post- grad or A-level student apprentice to join the business with no success – some candidates didn’t even turn up for their interviews - so we were getting fairly down-hearted, as we want to give back to society. Then, however, an email dropped from Molly who had seen our advert on a notice board. After interviewing Molly, both our Technical Manager, Nigel and myself knew she was right for the job. She may lack experience in the sector, but she definitely has the determination and the ability to learn. ESBE is sponsoring Molly through her Level 3 course, with a view to move on to a business degree later. Two months in and we are happy with her progress while our colleagues in Sweden have embraced her.” Molly reported: “I am really pleased to have joined a successful and expanding company like ESBE and, although very different to what I was doing at university, I am finding the work absorbing. I have been to visit the Swedish plant twice where I was made to feel very welcome, and I am also getting to know all the customers here in the UK.”
