MITIE launches integrated fit-out business

MITIE has introduced a new £240m integrated fit-out business called Built Environment.
It has been created by joining together the company's interior fit-out and engineering services businesses.

The new business will provide clients with a complete end-to-end integrated fit-out offering, including consultancy, accountable project management, installation and energy services and it can manage a building even after the project has been completed.

As MITIE is accountable for every aspect of fit-out and ongoing operations, it can ensure that every part of the property is managed in the most cost effective and environmentally sustainable way.

Managing director of Built Environment, Danny Leonard, said: 'By providing a completely integrated offering MITIE will be able to offer its clients guaranteed cost savings and the operational accountability of having to deal with only one company.'

He added: 'At a time when estates managers are looking to save money, while at the same time comply with an array of new carbon legislation, this kind of full service approach is exactly what the market is looking for.'

The company will continue to offer standalone interior fit-out and mechanical and electrical engineering services.
