Mentoring events to be held by CIC 2050 Group and Macdonald & Company

Starting next month, the Construction Industry Council (CIC) 2050 Group and Macdonald & Company have announced that they are holding a series of speed mentoring evenings.

The first of these events will take place on the evening of Thursday 17 March, supported by Great Portland Estates (GPE), in the marketing suite of its Oxford House premises. The building overlooks GPE’s Rathbone Place and 73/89 Oxford Street developments, opposite the Crossrail station development for Tottenham Court Road.

During the evening individual mentees will spend around 15 minutes with each of three (pre-assigned) senior industry figures who will answer questions about the industry, share and reflect on any challenges the mentee may be experiencing, or advise on career path development. This will be followed by an open networking session when mentees will have the opportunity network with all the mentors and each other.

The aim of the event is to provide people in the early stages of their career with the opportunity to learn from those who have knowledge and experience.

Mentors include: Joanna Axon (Sellar Property Group); Ben Bolgar (Princes Foundation for Sustainable Communities); Tim Chapman (ARUP); Trudi Elliott (RTPI); Sean Gavin (Berkley Group);  Yair Ginor (Lipton Rogers); Philip Gullett and Matt Townend (Battersea Power Station); David Hancock (Cabinet Office); Neil Patterson and Matt Perry (Land Securities); Guy Rudd (Blackstone); Alastair Smart (Sellar Design & Development);  Nick Williams (Pocket London).
