Mansfield Pollard MD wins Business Woman of the Year Award

Joanna Robinson, Mansfield Pollard’s managing director, has been named Business Woman of the Year at the Bradford Means Business Awards 2016.

Held on Saturday 11 June, the event highlighted the best companies, innovations and entrepreneurial individuals who have defied tough economic conditions to create thriving enterprises. 

Joanna was presented with her award for leading Mansfield Pollard through a period of significant change, which has included restructuring the senior management team, promoting a stronger customer focus and investing in learning and development.

Her leadership has been characterised by her creation of a clear strategy for the future development of the business and by her willingness to engage with others, encourage team development, invest in people, and take measured risks. These attributes have contributed to the company’s recent successes.

Joanna is keen to encourage new blood in to the industry and is regularly involved in campaigns that raise awareness about the challenging and exciting careers paths available within an engineering business.

She said: “It was an honour to be announced as Business Woman of the Year at the Bradford Means Business Awards. 

“I have a tremendous amount of support from the committed and hardworking team at Mansfield Pollard which has been crucial to the success of the company in recent years and which has worked with me to take the business to the next level.”

Mansfield Pollard produces an innovative range of high quality products including air handling units, kitchen canopies, air conditioning systems and both vibration and acoustic management systems. The company recently won the award as Outstanding Employer of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards 2015.
