Klima-Therm and LH gain top safety accreditation

Klima-Therm sales director Tim Mitchell (pictured) said: “This is a valuable and visible stamp of approval for our approach to health and safety, which has been part of the Klima-Therm/LH philosophy from the beginning. Working with some of the biggest and best-known companies requires the very highest standards, in all aspects of what we deliver. We pride ourselves in our safe working as much as in the innovation and impeccable environmental credentials of our technology. They are part of the same quality approach that has always been our hallmark.”

Klima-Therm has joined its sister company LH plc in receiving accreditation from Safecontractor for commitment to excellence in health and safety.

Safecontractor is the UK’s leading independent accreditation scheme and recognises the highest standards in health and safety management among contractors working in construction and related fields.

Safecontractor is relevant to all sectors, but is particularly important in the food industry, facilities management, financial, IT, retail and leisure sectors, all areas dependent on vital HVAC services and served extensively by Klima-Therm and LH.

Technical director of Safecontractor, John Kinge, said: 'Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.”

He continued: “Companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Klima-Therm has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies in the sector.”

Safecontractor accreditation requires detailed vetting of a company’s health and safety procedures and track record for safe practice. Companies meeting the high standard are awarded the Safecontractor mark, and included on a database which can be searched by client organisations, enabling them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site.

More than 200 top nationwide UK end users choose the scheme for selecting contractors for services such as building, maintenance, refurbishment and electrical and mechanical work.
