Kershaw Mechanical Services has been awarded a £1.3 million school contract to design and build the mechanical services for a new extension at Chase High School in Southend-on-Sea.
Securing m&e work at the Essex school is the latest in a series of school contract wins for the firm which has amounted to millions of pounds worth of projects for educational buildings.
Last year, the firm was awarded a £1.85 million contract to complete the mechanical installation of the new St Mary's School in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
Other recent orders include:
a £1.5 million contract at Parkfield School in Barnet;
a £1.7 million installation of a second new primary school in Barnet
£1 million for mechanical services for two new academic buildings at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
Kershaw Mechanical is the lead company of the Kershaw Group, which employs just under 200 people.
'Educational projects are very important to the company, and we are rapidly developing a good reputation for our work on them,' said Ian Greenstock, sales director for Kershaw Mechanical Services.
