Johnson Controls competition winners revealed

The winners of the Johnson Controls EasyParts competition have been announced.

Johnson Controls' EasyParts is an online tool for parts identification and ordering.

All those registered on the EasyParts chiller spares website by midnight on the second day of January's HVAC & Refrigeration Show, based at London's ExCeL, were entered into a prize draw, with three premium Italian leather travel-bags up for grabs, each worth several hundred pounds.

The winners have been revealed as Sean Fosten, service manager at Accurate Cooling Services; Phill Green, service manager at McVeigh Technical Solutions; and Mandy Smith, service coordinator at Refrigeration Aberdeen.

The HVAC & Refrigeration Show marked the official UK launch of YORK PureOil chiller lubricant, introduced by Johnson Controls as part of a global response to the rise of sub-standard counterfeit refrigeration oils, which can damage compressors and result in expensive repairs and downtime for end users.

Kelly Nash, customer services manager at Johnson Controls’ HVAC Parts centre said: “PureOil is available via our EasyParts spares website, and we were keen to encourage contractors to make use of this quick and convenient online ordering system. More than 3000 active users have already discovered the benefits and the competition, along with exposure at the show, encouraged more installers to sign up and make use of the platform.”

She added: “The show provided a great opportunity to highlight the benefits of the site in terms of rapid response, traceability, quick parts identification, and real-time support. It generated a lot of interest among many potential new customers who visited our stand.”

EasyParts transforms the speed with which contractors and service companies can source essential spare parts for chillers and air conditioning service and maintenance.

The site includes components such as compressor parts, valves, motors, bearings and consumables. Top selling items include York PureOil, oil filters, temperature sensors, cylinder head gaskets and drier cores. Even large items such as crankshafts and replacement condenser coils can be purchased online.
